I am back from my little break and new SP-Studio updates will be online soon. And of course we have a new contest. This time you can submit pictures about whar happened in the last year. No matter if it's about the big news stories (we have tons of Bin Laden pictures already ;)) or personal experiences. Join the contest till January 15th in the SP-Studio community!

Like in 2010, 2009 and 2008 I prepared a big Christmas Special for you. From December 1st till December 24th there will be revealed new SP-Studio items every day. You can see the whole Advent calendar here or follow on twitter, Google+ or Facebook. I hope you enjoy those surprises! Spread the word if you want to support the SP-Studio :).
Today let's start with a nice marching drum. Additionally I fixed an annoying bug with the colors of makeup and fashion accessories.

The new contest will start soon in the SP-Studio community. Be creative and show your pictures about the topic "TV SHOWS"! This time no animated tv shows count, because we already had this. But you can choose any life action TV program yopu want - no matter if it's Sci-Fi, Sitcoms, game shows or Late Night Talk. I am looking forward to your submissions, which can be uploaded to the contest album in the Community till December 15th. Good luck!

Support SP-Studio.de by sharing the link! And of course you will be informed about every new update there. I created albums with the best pictures from the community contests and with examples for every update I'll make.
Google+ is rather new, so those of you who prefer Facebook can follow the SP-Studio there by clicking the Like button on the front page. 50.000 fans like the SP-Studio so far at Facebook, which is a great success, considering I never begged for it. Thanks a lot for your support!
If you don't like Facebook and Google+ you can still follow SP_Studio at Twitter or subscribe to the RSS News Feed. So there are plenty of possibilities to stay up up date, give me feedback and support this project by sharing the news and pictures with your friends. But with all this new social media stuff I stopped sending E-Mail newsletters. Sorry, it was just too much work and not many people used them anymore. So please decide for another way if you want to be informed about my updates.

Lefiou, winner of the last SP-Studio community contest, asked for long, colorful eyelashes. So here they are!
The closed eyes can be found in the "eyes" category. The other ones are in "stuff" > "face" and can be combined with other makeup to create your own look.

Here's my birthday update for you! I brought some confetti, love and autumn weather :).
There ar4e many backgrounds in the SP-Studio already but I thought it would be nice to have more going on in the foreground of the picture. You can find those new items in the "stuff" > "everything else" category.

Halloween is over, but I got some new masks and glasses for you. One part of this was a wish by Caribou, winner of the last SP-Studio contest. I changed some of the masks and glasses so you can pick different colors for them. Here are some examples and I hope this is an useful update:

 It's time to show your creativity by submitting a SP-Studio picture for the new contest! This time the topic is EUROPE, which means you can make a picture about anything connected to the countries, their culture, history, food, fashion, wildlife, landscapes... European celebreties, music, movies, art... You can join the contest by registering in the Community and uploading your image file till November 15th. Then every community member can rate the submitted pictures. The winner can make a wish for a SP-Studio item and gets his own user gallery.
The last contest was about MALE MUSICIANS and was won by Lefiou. Congratulations!

For this year's halloween I added 6 creepy new items to the SP-Studio: A cyclops eye, a brain hat, a black dress (remember the Addams Family?), fur, werewolf ears and a fitting tail.

 I get many requests about wepaons from video games. Usually I don't want to draw them, because they are too special and only useful for a small amount of fans. But now I made one exception becaue I believe this is the most popular and interesting weapon: the Portal Gun! Valve's "Portal 2" came out this year, so this should be a nice addition to the video game related items in the SP-Studio.

There seems to be a problem with the SP-Studio community today, because the page does not load anymore. I am not sure about the reason yet, because I did not change anything. But it looks like some kind of database error. I just wanted to let you know I am aware of this and try to get everything working again. This news post will be edited as soon as I know more.
EDIT: Problem solved, the community is online again and no data was lost.

 As promised I try to draw new items every weekend:
This time it is a very detailed costume of a famous video game character. When it comes to gaming related requests there is one I get a lot: An Assassin's Creed costume. And of course I listen to you (...most of the time ;)). I included it today and hope you like it. This is a nice costume for many historical characters, so it will be useful for nongamers too.
In other news: The voting for the current community contest has started, so check out the great pictures submitted for the topic MALE MUSICIANS. Register a nickname to rate them till October 31st. If you want to join the contests you have to wait till the next one starts on November 1st.

 I want to try something new and hope it will work: From now on there will be a SP-Studio update with new items every weekend. Yes, it sounds crazy considering I was used to do bigger updates every 2 or 3 months. But I think this makes it more interesting for my visitors. And I can react to your wishes more spontaneously. You can always write them in the News comments down there or use the Wish Voting area in the SP-Studio community, where you can vote which items you want to see in the SP-Studio.
So let's have a look at the new items for today: I added three gaming consoles for your character to play with. And there will be more gaming related updates in the upcoming weeks... ;). I drew a NES, SNES and PSP/Vita. Many of my visitors asked for them, so here you go. You can find the new objects in the "stuff" category next to the other gaming consoles.

 Of course we have a new contest this month. Join the Community and submit your picture about a MALE MUSICIAN of your choice. That's our topic this time. You can create any famous musician you want, no matter if he is a singer, composer, DJ or drummer. Eben fictional characters count, if they are well known. Submit your unedited SP-Studio picture till October 15th and it will appear in the vote. Voting end at the end of this month. The five winners get their own gallery to show their best SP-Studio art and who manages to make the 1st place even has a free wish for a SP-Studio item of his choice. So show what you can do :).

One year ago the SP-Studio community was launched! And there's just one thing to say: you guys are awesome! Really, I am still surprised by the big amount of creative ideas and it is always a lot of fun to look through the SP-Studio pictures uploaded to the community. And your ideas for new items have been a big help too. So I want to celebrate our first anniversary with some little presents:
• This month 3 additional winners were pick who get their own user gallery
• Everybody who won a user gallery in the last 12 months gets more space
In addition I work on a little collection with amazing pictures you have createt over the last year, which will be placed on the front page of sp-studio.de as an example for everybody what is possible. This will be online soon. Don't see it as a "best of", so please don't be sad if your picture wasn't picked. There are just too many good ones.
A new contest will start in a couple of hours too, but let's have a look at our current winners first. Those are the Top 5 pictures from the the September contest about ASIA: A chinese dragon, Godzilla, Ninja Assassin, Sushi and Yuki Onna (a spirit in Japanese folklor). Caribou wins a free wish for a new SP-Studio item of his choice.
